wHO IS GOD?
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?
Go is the creator of everything (Genesis 1:1). He is infinite (Jeremiah 23:24), He is righteous and just (Deuteronomy 32:4), He is good (Mark 10:28), God is holy (1 Samuel 2:2), God is love (1 John 4:6), He never lies (Titus 1:2), He has always been and always will be (Psalm 90:2), He is powerful and knows everything (Psalm 147:5), God is also 3 persons in 1: The Father (Ephesians 4:6), The Son who is Jesus Christ who was fully God and fully man (1 Corinthians 8:6), and The Holy Spirit who now lives inside Christ’s followers (Romans 8:9), Christ’s followers call those three person the trinity, three persons but one God (Mark 1:10-11).
HOW DO I APPLY IT?
A lot of people have asked about where they came from, who made the world, why does all this exist, even why do I exist? You see, God made us, the world we live in; He created everything to have a purpose, a plan. If you are reading this, God has a plan and a reason for you to live!
When you get a something new, to figure out how it works, you use the users manual from the people who made it. You spend time with it, reading up on it, and practice using your new “thing.” Those who follow the teachings of Jesus feel the same about life. If God made us, designed us, then it only makes sense to talk to Him, get to know Him, and study how He tells us life should be lived.
WHAT’S NEXT ?
Getting to know God is not just about learning things about Him, it is personal. He wants all of us to become His friends. Not just our minds, or a shout out on social media, but all of us. Some great ways of getting to know God are reading the Bible, praying, going to church, or joining a Bible study. If you have any questions or want to get involved, please email bsmmont@gmail.com
